WordPress Theme Review: Hestia by ThemeIsle

Hestia WordPress Theme by ThemeIsle Review

Hey you,

Let’s talk about Hestia, a kick-ass responsive WordPress theme by ThemeIsle. In a series of about 10 short videos, we install Hestia and create a simple cake shop using WooCommerce.

I will add my commentary at the end of each video whenever necessary, you know, something like a transcript 🙂

Anyhow, let’s get down and dirty. Let’s build an online cake store using the Hestia WordPress theme and WooCommerce. Here’s the first part:

Install Hestia WordPress Theme

First, we began by installing and activating Hestia WordPress theme on our test site. Just navigate to Appearance -> Themes -> Add New. Upload the Hestia WordPress theme you downloaded from ThemeIsle.

My test site had 3 existing posts, which is what you see in the video above. The whole process is pretty much straightforward I don’t expect you to run into any trouble. If you are stuck, however, note that we are here to help. Always.

Configure Hestia WordPress Theme

In the second part, we configure a couple of options including the header before realizing we need to create a front (Home), which we did easily via Pages -> Add New. Here. enjoy:

Create a Front Page

And here comes the third part, showing you how to add a static front-page to your WordPress blog as opposed to displaying a list of your latest posts. We touch on a couple of other Hestia options as well. Enjoy:

Part four coming up soon, so please accept browser notifications to ensure you don’t miss a thing!

Drop your request in the comments 🙂

    Hi Freddy,

Your post is useful to me. I just installed and set-up a front page which I also labeled a “Home PAGE.” However, what I’m struggling with is how I can add “As Seen On” images of clients I have worked for and other sites where I have contributed guest posts. Your kind assistance will be highly appreciated.

    • Hey Moss,

Thanks for commenting; it’s means a lot. Adding “As Seen On” should be easy, but first, a bit of detail. Where would you like to add the “As Seen On” section?

Please respond with more details and I will gladly help you.

      Thanks once again!

      Best regards,
